So we've discussed ethics to a degree on Tuesday. Why do you believe it might be important to study ethics and how we make decisions when faced with ethical or moral dilemmas? Please post your answer and then wait and reply to another comment posted by a fellow classmate.

its important to study and understand ethics when we are faced with ethical dilemmas, so we can act the right way in dealing with it.
What is the right way?
I think that studying ethics is important because in this day and age, we may not particularly know what is ethical. Perhaps if we had a better understanding of ethics, our world could be a better place (if we all made decisions based on ethics). Also, when we are faced with ethic/moral dilemmas, if we have an understanding of ethics, we can make better decisions and act in a better way.
I think it is very important to study ethnics because we need to see the other side of the decisions we make. For example: Just because the decision we make benifits us, it might not benifit someone else.
I agree with Tavia because we often make decisions so they benefit us without thinking about what it does for others.
I think that it is important to study ethics because it can help us see what could possibly happen if we choose to do one thing or another. It shows us what could have happened if we had chosen to do something differently.
That is a good point Tavia makes. It seems all too often in our present world, people make choices which are good for them or a small group without considerations of how it will affect others.
I think we already know ethics to a certain extent but knowing more about it would help us in life knowing what would be morally accecptable and not.
I agree with Tavia because we don't always think of consequences before we act upon whims.
i think its important to study ethics so people know whats wrong and right. people need to know wats good and bad to go on living.

I agree with Downing because its true after we make a certain decision, we always think what could have happened if we made a different decision...
When we did talk about it in class the other day we kinda saw a different side of things and realized the other decsions we could have made instead of acting before thinking. So yes I do think it is important to study Ethics.

I think that studying ethics is very important. Its not just about making the right decision but about weather that decision you mad is morally right or not. Like kicking a baby off a bridge. It would be unethical to do something like that. But helping someone jumpstart there car is ethical. so its good we study ethics because they are a big part of life.
I agree, I think if people could learn to be more concienous about others and how we are all connected, and take responciblity for themselves and they're choices, and above all just learn to treat others how you wanna be treated, The world could be a better place to live in.
I agree with Kayleigh, if everyone made the right decisions no matter what the world would be a better place ther would be no violence or anything, but thats not going to happen.

I agree with roaches because people need to now whats wrong and right and bad from good to get anywhere in life and survie the real world..
I think we study ethics to better understand human nature and the way of life most people strive for. Also to find out whats good whats bad and everything in between.
