Philosophy II: So....how do we acquire knowledge anyway?

So we've discussed 3 ways in which philosophers argue that we acquire knowledge; rationalism (through reason we gain objective knowledge), empiricism (through our sense experience) and constructivism (we "construct" knowledge based on our science, language, etc.) gaining subjective knowledge. Which of these 3 theories would you say you most agree with? Give at least 2 reasons why.

I believe in empiricism because I think the only way to know something is to find it out through your senses. I think this because you have to experience something in order for you to know it happened.

I think Rationalism is the most reasonable because it makes more sense. I think we could use constructivism in life because swho knows if its really true. I know I know "who do we know anything is true?" but I think if we use rationalism its like learning in school because we take what has been passed down to us and learn that such as religion

Blah morning. Thanks adam.

I dont agree with any of them more then another. I think that you use all three on a daily basis.I also believe that what someone believes in is their own. So if they believe in rationalism then they gain knowledge through reason. And vice versa. No one thinks the same. or maybe everyone does.

I believe Rationalism and empiricism are the most common ways of gaining knowledge.
Empiricism is the most constant way, obvoiusly because every day we figure many new things out through our senses.
Rationalism is a constant thing as well for many people because it deals with thinking things through logical reason.

I beleive in empiricism because I think people have their own opinions and own beiefs through their life experiences and life mistakes.

I believe in empiricism because I think that everyone learns through their own life experiences and their own life mistakes.

I think empiricism makes the most sense because the easiest way people learn is through experiencing it themselves.

I agree with Empiricism the most because it makes the most sense. I agree with the idea that you can only obtain knowledge through your senses. learning through experiences is the only way to find things out for yourself. all of the other ideas were thought up by big dumby heads!!!!
